Internet methodical guide for teachers

the Student workbook "Calm down"

The project was realized with the financial support of the Ministry of National Education
within the frame of the commissioned task: "Prevention of the youth and children's problems - equal educational chances. Elaboration and publication of materials regarding prevention
of problems in school and open environements. Propagation of methods which counteract aggression and bullying and promote the ability of peaceful conflict solving."

The main purpose of the project was to write and publish an activity book for students
"Calm down" for primary education and the related Internet methodical guide for teachers.

The book for students contains texts, illustrations and sets of tasks. It promotes peaceful conflict solving methods, good manners and ways to deal with difficult situations, helping others, counteracting aggression, negotiation methods and presentation of one's opinion
and arguments.

It was created on the basis of the widely used in the Gestalt Centers method by Thomas Gordon, described in his book "Parent Effectiveness Training. The Tested New Way To Raise Responsible Children". It promotes the conflict solving in a "winner-winner" way, where none
of the sides is a loser and the agreement is achieved with a reciprocal respect, the art
of negotiation and in respect of the other side's arguments.

Primary education is a good period for this kind of education and upbringing.

The guide for teachers is available in Internet - it can be copied with a free license on condition that the source will be provided.
